Another good one, Leona. Sometimes when things go wrong people can begin to wonder what purpose is there in life. My pastor’s wife and I ministered to someone after church yesterday who can’t see any purpose in his life. He is very lonely and things just haven’t gone the way he thought they would. But I think we made a difference, at least temporarily, as he texted my pastor’s wife that he was feeling much better and was even joking around at work later. Without purpose, there doesn’t seem to be much reason to keep going on, but thank the Lord He has a purpose for every one of us, and it is a good one and just suited to each one in our uniqueness.
Yes! Thanks Diane. I always remember Psalm 138:8 because someone once gave me a little slip of paper that said “The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me” and I know He has a purpose for all of us.
