At times

Memories surface

Arising from a sight,

Sound or smell, and “Remember when…”

We say

Cinquain

I just took an online class to create this “Laundry Day” collage and it sure did cause me to recall many memories of the times spent hanging clothes out on a clothesline when growing up in the 50’s in Illinois.

  1. It is amazing how a memory seems to pop up out of nowhere. I remembered a day or so ago way back around 1950 or so when I used to go across the street to my friend’s backyard. They would have blankets thrown over the clothesline and it would be like a tent for us. We played “house” in it. I hadn’t thought about that in years.
