U-Turn

When I read your word

I thought, and I turned my feet.

I made haste

To try to obey your commandments,

And walk in your ways each day.

“I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.”

Psalms 119:59-60 KJV

Memo: From Me

Gray Squirrel

Dear Gray Squirrel,

Tell me, what are you looking for!

The bird food you do deplete,

Yet you keep passing by my door,

Is your search never complete?

Your manners I do deplore!

Always looking for a tasty treat!

You’ve had that, yet look for more!

Your greed knows no defeat!

Rhyme

This poem was inspired by the gray squirrel that lives in a tree in my backyard who seems to never get full nor tired. He is always eating or searching. He is cute but can really be a pest at times! 😊
