Prayers out sent to cover
Those its fury hath touched
Prayers sent up to gather
And bring winds of change
Turning the path’s course
To remain at sea
Syllabic Verse
Prayers for those in the Bahamas who are facing the destruction of Dorian’s wrath at this time.
Praying it’s fury will be lessened and it’s path turned out to sea so it will not make landfall anywhere else.

Today I wrote a word
Just one short word
It sat there awhile
All alone it sat
Until inspiration
Caused it to grow
And multiply itself
Creating a story
Of three thousand words
The power of pen
And inspiration
Can change the world
Syllabic Verse

High upon a rock
Above the craggy shore
Shined a beacon
A guiding light in the night
Kept lit by the hand
Of a watchman of the sea
With tides of time
Waves of change came, yet
Lonely lighthouse stands

#MayFalls19 Poetry Challenge—Prompt: lonely lighthouse

The time has come
May’s skirts rustle as she tiptoes
Through the dancing tulips
Sowing seeds of florescence
Carpeting the world with flowers

Miss Moody March marches merrily
Away again as April approches and
Rises, returning resplendently radiant
Cancelling cold, creating colorful, cheery
Happy, hopeful habitats. Hallelujah!
Acrostic
It’s “Goodbye Old Man Winter”
We’ve waited for today
Not sad to see you go
Haiku
Tomorrow is the First Day Of Spring! Yay!

Beauty
In the brown and gold
Tears for times
Past when we
Young and verdant without care
Lived the high life

Once Upon A Time
In a time long ago
I was young like you
Believed in fairy tales
Imaginary
Tall ships with bright silver sails
And carpets that flew
But then I grew, and realized
I no longer had child’s eyes
