Float past us like wispy
Feathers in the sky
Nebulous clouds bringing doubt
Uncertainty and confusion

Each day
Above us loom
Clouds of uncertainty
Attempting to blanket our hope
We sigh,
And then,
We see the sun, our smiling friend,
Appear, chasing the clouds,
Restoring hope,
And life
Butterfly Cinquain
I see
Patches of hope
White clouds of promise
Floating above the virus
Look up!
Rise up
Above the
Gloom and doom that’s creeping
Set your focus higher, freedom’s
Coming

NaPoWriMo Day 9–Prompt: Concrete Poem
When clouds of adversity hover
As they someday surely will
Dont give up and run for cover
When clouds of adversity hover
Stand firm and you’ll discover
There’s strength in standing still
When clouds of adversity hover
As they someday surely will
Triolet
Wearing
Rainy day blues.
Energy wanes as
Mundane thoughts hover like clouds.
Suddenly!
The raindrops seem to evaporate
And grey sky disappears!
Sunshine brings
Rainbow.
Butterfly Cinquain
Sunset
Feathers on high
Streaks of orange light
Fill the western sky before me
I gasp
Cinquain
Sunflowers bowing
Clouds shed tears
Summer’s final day
Syllable Lune
Who are you four,
Watching me
From above?
Friends or foe?
Syllabic Verse
Grand-daughter sent me this pic she recently took at the beach. I was taken aback by all the faces I saw in the clouds!
Chasing thoughts
That swirl like clouds
High, lofty
Low, gloomy
Casting them down in Christ and
Captivating them
Shadorma
casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5
Worries appear like
Cloud, upon cloud, upon cloud
Threatening your day
Shift the view by looking up
Focus on blue sky above
Tanka
As the clouds move on and pass away, so will your troubles. Therefore, do not worry, but shift your focus to look to God above who is in control of all things.
(While out shopping today I happened to look up at the sky, as I often do because I always enjoy seeing the many different beautiful clouds Oregon has,and seeing this scalloped cloud formation today intrigued me.
As I gazed at it this poem formed in my mind that I felt I should share as it’s always a good reminder to me, as well as others, that we should not worry. )
