Happenings cause it
Anxiety is often its result
No one is immune to it
Good often comes from it
Everyone will experience it

This titled form was invented in 1999 by Craig Tigerman, Sol Magazine’s Lead Editor. Only one word is allowed in the title followed by a single seven-line stanza. The first word in each line begins with the same letter as the title. Hortensia Anderson, a popular haiku and tanka poet, added her own requirement of restricting the line length to six syllables. Filled with doubt I elect to stand
Holding fast His words in my hand
I trust and overcome fear,
Embrace life, enemies sneer, as they disband
Florette
(Based on Psalm 37: 39-40
But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.)
#OctPoWriMo Day 3-Insecurity
Theme: Insecurity Form: Florette
Prompts: doubt, trust, overcome, embrace, secure
The old has gone,
And the new has come.
Embrace it!
Receive it!
In gladness the past go, grasp
The future and run!

“Why Celebrating Halloween is Dangerous” by Kimberly Daniels–Charisma Magazine article
Become quite a special day
Lasting longer each year
All those bargains are waiting
Commercials tell us loud and clear
Kick the Thanksgiving Day tradition
Forget family values held dear
Rise early or shop late
Ignore staying home with family near
December’s big day is coming
And shopping days are few we hear
Yes! Today we can shop and save
Such awesome deals will appear
All across town the stores are open
Let’s give thanks as we all cheer
Embracing commercialism
Society succumbs without a tear
