Job’s Question

FEAR

Afraid?

What is “the thing”?

What is the “that” in you

Which is so big it causes such

Great Fear?

Wonder if someday it suddenly

Becomes real and comes?

What will you do?

Panic?

Or Pray?

What will you do?

Will you fight or just freeze?

Will you crumble in trepidation?

I know

What i would do because it’s come.

And I am trusting God

To remove it

From me.

Job 3:25–“For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”

Daffodil Day

Daffodil Day, sunshine, daffodils in bloom
Let not your melancoly heart hold to drear

The daffodils speak of Spring coming soon

Should your nostalgic mind be given to fear

Take a stroll through the Daffodils this mid-noon

No matter the gloomy forecasts you hear

Yellow Daffodils sing Springtime’s tune

So come, shed Winter’s heavy cloak of grey,

Take a walk among the Daffodils today

Shepherding

Lamb
Venturing

Out into the cold,

Adventure

Awaits as

Frozen twigs snap beneath my

Heavy booted feet.

In the night

A weak little lamb

Strayed away

From the flock

Searching for greener pastures

Led by the enemy

My heart aches

But not from the cold

Rod in hand

I walk in

My Father’s Authority

Clinging to His Word

Fear tries to

Silently creep in

Doubt tries to

Overwhelm

But my feet are as hinds feet

And my mind is sure

Determined

To save the lost

I move on

To overcome

My face set like flint

Lord God is my help

Wintery

Brisk air fills my lungs

As I cry out

At the sight

Rejoicefully I carry

My long lost sheep home!

Lost in the Fog

Fog, Names of God, Jesus
Foggy Christmas Eve.

Needing a Daystar and Guide

To help find the Way.

Who will be my guiding Light?

Who’ll my Helper be,

In this world of dark and fright?

Lost in the darkness,

Crying out to the King on high!

He sends to earth His Prince of Peace.

I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. –Jesus.       John 12:46

Doubts

staircase
To win

Don’t dwell with doubts

Doubts are just traitors

They promote fear, cause loss

In life

They keep attempts from happening

Quench good and create losers

Do not listen

To them

(Inspired by Shakespeare)

“Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt.”

-William Shakespeare
