Job’s Question

FEAR

Afraid?

What is “the thing”?

What is the “that” in you

Which is so big it causes such

Great Fear?

Wonder if someday it suddenly

Becomes real and comes?

What will you do?

Panic?

Or Pray?

What will you do?

Will you fight or just freeze?

Will you crumble in trepidation?

I know

What i would do because it’s come.

And I am trusting God

To remove it

From me.

Job 3:25–“For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”

At Calvary

three crosses at Calvary
Soldiers on the way to Calvary
Just another day at Calvary

Roman law is in play at Calvary
Criminals will pay at Calvary

On crosses they will lay at Calvary
Crime they will slay at Calvary

Amongst the noisey fray at Calvary
Some kneel to pray at Calvary

For One sent to stay at Calvary
Is a King they say at Calvary

Son of God on display at Calvary
Father’s will to obey at Calvary

I honor Him today at Calvary
For He lives, Yay! at Calvary

Portrait of The Word

Names of Jesus
A Friend

Who never leaves

A Brother who sticks close

A Savior who died for me

Jesus

The Christ

The Way, Truth, Life

Redeemer of my soul

The Wisdom and Power of God

My All

Today’s #NaPoWriMo Prompt was to write a portrait poem about someone who was important to you. I wrote this about the One whom I love dearly.

It is a portrait of The Word based on:John 1:1, Matthew 11:19, Hebrews 2:11-12, Luke 2:11, Matthew 1:21, Matthew 22:42, John 14:6, Job 19:25, 1 Corinthians 1:24, Colossians 3:11

In a Lonely Place?

Driftwood on sand
Looking for a helping hand?

Drifted upon sinking sand?

God does see that place you’re in,

He’ll strenghten you so you can stand.
Just reach out, take His hand,

He’ll lead you from sinking sand,

To a place far from chagrin,

Life with Him can be grand!
So if life’s not all you planned,

Dead like driftwood on sand,

Look up, invite God in,

And let Him be your helping hand.

Special Song

Pink Heart Sky
A sweet melody

In the quiet of the night

His song comes to me
His song comes to me

And night and day I shall sing of

His lovingkindness
His lovingkindness

That He commands in daytime

Is my sweet heartsong

The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me—Psalm 42:8 NKJV
