( I was surprised to see another heart shape in my path today as I walked thru the parking lot at my local grocery store. This one was just a dry patch in the wet blacktop, not sure how it came to be there but it caught my eye. The last heart shape I saw a couple weeks ago in the parking lot was created from gum or candy I think. Just amazing that I keep seeing these heart shapes in my path. Looks like someone is leaving heartprints! 😊 )
Reminds me of the beautiful poem I posted below by an Unknown Author . It’s titled “Heartprints”
Heartprints
Whatever our hands touch – we leave fingerprints!
On walls, on furniture, doorknobs, dishes, books – there’s no escape!
As we touch we leave our identity.
Oh God, wherever I go today, help me leave heartprints!
Heartprints of compassion, of understanding and love,
Heartprints of kindness and genuine concern.
May my heart touch a lovely neighbor, or a runaway daughter
As I continue to read the true story of Katie Davis Majors heart’s commitment to God and His will, I am amazed at what God has done through her for the people in Uganda.
I recommend reading her book “Kisses for Katie”. It’s a great testimony of what God can accomplish through one heart that’s totally surrendered to Him.
As I sit on my cozy couch this chilly December morn, drinking coffee after a breakfast of my favorite toast and jelly, I am enjoying the warmth of the heat and the quiet ambiance of my surroundings, and I am grateful for all I have.
My thoughts turn to those who are homeless, in shelters, or victims of human trafficking and abuse, or others trapped in lives of stress or poverty. The many who don’t have the comforts of home.
I pray for them, and do what I can to help them.
As I sit quietly
In my home’s cozy corner
My prayers travel far

This month I am an Advocate for Dressember which is an organization that raises awareness and funds to fight human trafficking and modern slavery worldwide.
“For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.”
Modern slavery exists today in many places worldwide. Be it sexual exploitation, forced marriage, or forced labor, many women, men and children are victims.
You can help set them free by spreading awareness, making a donation to help one of the many organizations in their fight to stop this, or simply just pray that those who can help or intervene will do so.
I have teamed up with Dressember.org this month as a Advocate to spread awareness and raise funds. If you’d like to donate to my team’s campaign “Help Stop the Chains of Abuse” I would very much appreciate your support.
I will be giving a free handmade Origami Dress Ornament to anyone who makes a donation of $5.00 or more by December 15th.
