Each day the news is bringing
Fear into our hearts.
Do we allow the fear to dwell
Or choose to overcome it?

Prayers sent up to God
Are put in golden bowls,
Prayers of all the saints
Come before God’s throne,
Set before God
Upon the golden altar,
They’re wafting up,
Waiting for that special time
Of God’s heavenly release.

Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.
Revelation 5:8 and Revelation 8:3-4
(These scriptures came to my mind this morning and as I read them I felt led to write this poem and also to create the art. Perhaps the Spirit is telling us, saints, that our bowls will soon be tipped! )

“Long time no see!
My fair weather friend!
Make yourself welcome,
Winter’s at it’s end.”
Syllabic Verse
(Me talking to the Robin I saw in my yard this morning! 😃Such a welcome sighting!))

Some sounds delight
Some sounds are soothing
Birdsong awakens
Haiku
I was thinking about sounds this evening and how they affect our lives. Some annoy, interrupt, cause alarm or tears.
Others sooth, delight, cheer or bring laughter.
I wonder how many of us are conscious of the sounds we emit each day and how they might affect others around us.
Something to think about…

“Wake up!
Oh sleepy head!
Time is marching forward,
But your body clock is an hour
Behind!”
Cinquain

“Coming soon” the signs say
Bits of color speak loud and clear
As I walk the dreary way
Coming soon” the signs say
Birds sing of a brighter day
Spring color will soon be here
“Coming soon” the signs say
Bits of color speak loud and clear
Triolet

I can,
You can, we can
Banish the can’t thinking
Never let that apostrophe
Control

It is my goal and hope that I can do this daily, and that is why I write poetry and create art.
Thank you for following my blog.
I hope my daily posts accomplish my goal and that in some way you are uplifted them.

Kenickie,
“Hope your day’s
Peachy keen,
Jelly Bean!”
From, Rizzo.
Syllabic Verse
A bit of humor here today as I am remembering the 50’s and a favorite saying of that time ” peachy keen jelly bean” which was also a line in one of my favorite movies, “Grease”. As I was creating this peach collage today for an Instagram challenge I am participating in, I was reminded of this saying which brought me a smile, so I thought I would share it with all of you. 🙂
