Came in the night
God’s Light lit up the world
Darkness fled, the Son shone bright
For us
For us

God’s Light lit up the world
Came in the night

Today’s #NaPoWriMo Prompt was to write a portrait poem about someone who was important to you. I wrote this about the One whom I love dearly.
It is a portrait of The Word based on:John 1:1, Matthew 11:19, Hebrews 2:11-12, Luke 2:11, Matthew 1:21, Matthew 22:42, John 14:6, Job 19:25, 1 Corinthians 1:24, Colossians 3:11
NaPoWriMo–Day 2–prompt:Â constellations
This prompt inspired me to write this poem of childhood memories of clear night skies out in the country where we lived, looking up at all the stars and listening to dad tell us about the constellations and point out which ones we were seeing.
Three times today the word “busy” came up as I attempted to have conversations with different people. This prompted me to ponder upon why we are all so busy that we seemingly have no time to stop and take a few minutes for a friendly chat. Thus this poem was written to share my frustrations.
