Among shadows
Of the past’s occurances
Alone I face the future

That my life was not in vain

Sure of your future?
At the time of detachment
Where will you land?

Once again the leaves beneath my feet
Remind me of Summer’s recent passing
Some dressed in fall colors
Freshly fallen over night
Not yet devoid of life
Speak of coming days
Full of crisp air
Bringing change
To me and
Them
Reverse Etheree
I think that i shall never see
Nor ever come to know
A time when I tire of poetry
And in it desire not to grow

At our State Capitol
Liberty and Justice
Stand together on this ground
Oregonians respect

Committing,
Declaring,
Their love locked forever
For all the world to see

( I happened to see this very inspiring display of Life Message Rocks at my local community college today and it prompted me to write this poem. )
Where ere your journey
Or your pathway might take you
Keep moving forward
Stay focused on reaching
The end of your tunnel
Where you’ll find your freedom’s light
Don’t let obstacles
Detour or delay your purpose
Set your face like flint

Days fly by
Like birds on wing
Flutter, gone
Syllable Lune
Life
Is short
Waste not.
Time is precious
Record memories.
Capture each moment
But dont dwell there, move on.
Fixate your mind on the future.
Wake every morning and proclaim:
“The Past has no Present in my Future”
