Living Life

Robot sculpture in field McMinnville,OR 2019

Living in an imperfect world

With imperfect people

As we struggle to survive

Searching for answers

With imperfect people

We walk, talk and dwell

Searching for answers

Only God can help us achieve

We walk, talk and dwell

Climbing mountains

Only God can help us achieve

Are we willing to trust Him?

Climbing mountains

Living in an imperfect world

Are we willing to trust Him?

As we struggle to survive

The Thief in the Night

Beware of the thief in the night
He only comes to kill, steal and destroy
His entrance is a sorry plight
To remove peace and take away joy

He only comes to kill, steal and destroy
His agenda includes an evil plan
To remove peace and take away joy
And he uses confusion and chaos whenever he can

His agenda includes an evil plan
He kills hope and destroys dreams.
And he uses confusion and chaos whenever he can
His purpose is to remove all good it seems

He kills hope and destroys dreams
His entrance is a sorry plight
His purpose is to remove all good it seems
Beware of the thief in the night

Patriotic Pantoum

Flowing over me,
Come thoughts of liberty,
Every time our Flag I see,
Flying over land or sea.

Come!  Thoughts  of liberty.
I welcome you to dwell in me,
Every time our Flag I see.
For you’re a reminder I am free!

I welcome you to dwell in me,
Patriotic thoughts of liberty!
For you’re a reminder I am free.
At times I need you desperately!

Patriotic thoughts of liberty,
Every time our Flag I see.
At times I need you desperately,
Flowing over me.

Pantoum-rhyme scheme aaaa
(This is my first attempt at writing a Pantoum.  It was a challenge, and even more so, because I chose to rhyme it aaaa instead of the usual abab)
