My inner self asks me
“Do you know the meaning of life?”
“Do you know the why of it?”
I ponder each step I take
“Where am I going?”
“Is my life a symphony?”
“If so, who conducts?”
Then suddenly The Word speaks
And I know, do you know also?

“So easy
That a child can do it.”
I struggle.
Frustrated,
I admit my inabilty.
I am not a child.

#NaPoWriMo Day 1 Prompt: write an instructional or dis-instructional poem

Miss Moody March marches merrily
Away again as April approches and
Rises, returning resplendently radiant
Cancelling cold, creating colorful, cheery
Happy, hopeful habitats. Hallelujah!
Acrostic

Stress abounds
If we allow it to
Restrain it
Detain it
Take it captive and cast down
Imaginations
Shadorma
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV

Facing the sunset
On the road that leads to home
Anticipation
Traveling memory’s trail
Paved with past and present

A slip of the tongue
Brings heartache if
Careless words are spoken and
Damage can be done to a tender heart.
Even if you apologize and ask
Forgiveness theres no
Getting the words back once they’re spoken.
Honestly, words can be like arrows that
Inflict pain if they are
Judging words, but if they are
Kind words, spoken in
Love with true
Meaning and compassion behind them,
Not only will they do good, but they might
Open the door to end someone’s
Pain, or help someone
Quit a bad habit.
Remember to think before you
Speak, and
Try to always choose
Uplifting words that will bring
Victory into someone’s life, for
Words are powerful!
X-ray each one for harmful effects before
You speak it, for we all need to be
Zealous to make sure our words are good.

Be a day dreamer,
For its been said that
Those awake
Can achieve!
Dreaming with eyes wide open
Can be dangerous!
Shadorma
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible. — T. E. Lawrence

Twas a day of mish-mash
A bunch of skimble skamble
Nonsensical stuff

Springtime
Abounds around
We feel it in the air
See it bursting everywhere
We rejoice!

Not once, in all times I’ve cried,
Coming to you broken,
In sorrow on bended knee,
Heart burdened with pain,
Not once, have You not heard.
Yet, of certain things
You’ve not replied though
In tears I ask again and again.
My heart knows as I walk
Taking steps my eyes can’t see,
That someday soon You will answer,
Fulfilling things hoped for
By this trusting soul, for
Not once, have You not heard.
