Car Crash

Car Crash--News--Shadorma poem

I wrote this poem after I heard on the News of a deadly freak car crash that killed a young girl I worked with.  It was a six car pileup that should never have happened and it claimed a life of a beautiful young girl who had so much going for her in life.  It really made me sad and also made me realize how quickly life can be taken from us and how we should appreciate every minute we are given.

A Penny

Shadorma poem about a penny and God's provision

I am in the midst of a transition right now.  I am moving to a new place, in a new area. I had to quit my job to do so, and I just bought a new car.  Moving is never fun during the sorting, packing time, besides there are always extra expenses to deal with,  so I took a break and went out to eat at my favorite restaurant.  I was going to just get the food to go so I could rush home and get back to packing while I ate, but at the last minute I changed my mind and decided to stay there and eat in.  There were several tables available to sit at, so I kind of roamed around to make my choice.  Amazingly, the table I chose to sit at had a penny laying on the very spot I chose to sit!  “Thank You God” I said. For, every time I start to worry about money it seems I happen to find a penny or dime in my path. It is really amazing!  I have found them in so many odd places that one would never expect a penny or dime to be!   I believe they are reminders to me,  from God,  that I should not be worrying about money, or anything else,  because He is in control and He is my Provider.
