Lives Of Leaves

Fallen leaves

Once prominent

A vibrant crown of glory

Rustling and bustling

Sheltering new life on high

And offering shade

Now a colorful blanket

Looked down upon

Trampled without thought, deemed useless

Until wind carries them away
