Watching as you leave…
August, you brought lots of sunshine,
Must I say goodbye?
I am not looking forward
To those Fall days
Of less sun and shorter days
That September brings.
Oh, that Summertime would linger
Instead of running away.

Different types and forms of poetry I have written
Watching as you leave…
August, you brought lots of sunshine,
Must I say goodbye?
I am not looking forward
To those Fall days
Of less sun and shorter days
That September brings.
Oh, that Summertime would linger
Instead of running away.

The time is very near
Christ is returning soon
You who have ears please hear
The time is very near
Soon He will appear
Maybe morning, night or noon
The time is very near
Christ is returning soon

And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. Revelation 22:12
Neighbors sharing time,
Help and food,
Kindred thoughts of kindness

Worrying thoughts creep
Disturbing sleep
Fears rise steep
Calm hard to keep
Doubts start to heap
But faith runs deep
Causing joy to leap
Courage to seep
And victory does reap

Waiting
Upon the Lord
Praying, hoping, believing,
All give me strength to begin
Again

August 26, 1920 Women’s Rights To Vote, 19th Amendment, went into effect after many years of campaigning by Women’s Sufferage groups, especially Alice Paul, Lucy Burns, Katherine Morey, and many others who fought and suffered so valiantly for this.
So thankful to all those women who gave of their time, effort and sufferings to win us women today the right to vote!
Let’s not let them down! Let’s not let their efforts be wasted or done in vain. Let’s be sure to vote!!

Plastic lid,

Items environmentally

I went to lunch at a fast food place today, which I rarely do as I don’t like fast food but my companions chose our lunch place so I went with it.
I asked for a cup of water to drink and was served it in a plastic cup with plastic lid.
I asked for a straw and was given a paper wrapped paper straw.
I really dislike paper straws, they taste awful to me, however I can support their use in an attempt to save the environment, however I do not understand the purpose of providing paper straws in plastic cups with plastic lids, if seems to defeat the whole purpose.

Our thoughts, items, and time

At times
We won’t agree,
But let’s not speak harsh words
Which cause anger, choose a soft reply
Instead.

Maybe choosing to
Step out of your comfort zone
Will bring happiness

My grand-daughter is a very talented artist in acrylic painting and charcoal drawing, especially in doing portraits.
Yesterday when we got together to do our crafting project she surprised me by saying” I want to try something different”
And so she did! She stepped out of her comfort zone and created something “Wonderful” in mixed media paper collage. 😊
