Even though outside it was another cloudy, chilly, rainy day, inside my craft room it was sunny, warm and cheerful!
My grand-daughter came over this afternoon to participate in another art collaboration project with me and we had so much fun sharing ideas, chatting and creating. She inspired me, as I did her and we both ended up with projects we were really happy with!
Today I enjoyed myself as I created this art piece which I titled “Happy Mail”.
It is an art collaboration project that I and another artist did as part of the USPS Art Project, which is a project many artists across the USA are doing to help fund the struggling US Postal Service.
I think it turned out quite cheerful looking and is something I actually try to live out daily in my life as I interact with people I meet.

At times
Memories surface
Arising from a sight,
Sound or smell, and “Remember when…”
We say

I just took an online class to create this “Laundry Day” collage and it sure did cause me to recall many memories of the times spent hanging clothes out on a clothesline when growing up in the 50’s in Illinois.
I and many other artists around the USA are getting involved in a creative movement to help support the US Post Office as well as exhibit our creativity through art collaboration.

Today I was working on creating some yard art from things I had on hand. I like to make useful items from things that normally get thrown away or recycled so I have been trying to find things to make with the plastic bottle caps from my water bottles and also aluminum cans. The photo posted is some of the flowers created today that when finished will go outside in my back yard.
It was explained as an experience to discover hidden things in your art that at first glance your eyes might not see but that through prayer God might want to reveal to you.
It sounded intriguing so I decided to try it.
Instructions are: with paper and pencil shut your eyes and make 33 dots on the paper. Open eyes and connect the dots in one continuous line without lifting the pencil from the paper.
Pray and ask God to show you what He might want you to see or what He wants to reveal to you.
It might take some time to see and know exactly what that might be, because for me, at first glance, I only saw Disney animals in my dot drawing—Goofy, Pluto and Dumbo, but then after a few days of prayer and pondering I saw the Hammer, and then the Bible verse in Jeremiah 23:29 came to mind.
The end result was an amazing work of art that I feel God wanted me to create!
