In art or in life,
I want to be a day brightener,
Make people smile.
Even if I don’t succeed,
I do have fun trying.

Today I enjoyed myself as I created this art piece which I titled “Happy Mail”.
It is an art collaboration project that I and another artist did as part of the USPS Art Project, which is a project many artists across the USA are doing to help fund the struggling US Postal Service.
I think it turned out quite cheerful looking and is something I actually try to live out daily in my life as I interact with people I meet.
Lovely college. Have a great day 🙂
Thank you 😊

Love your collage, and also the purpose of it. I think I was able to brighten a friend’s day today, and she brightened mine. I picked her up and we went to an estate here in London that is open to the public and has trails. It’s so peaceful there, like an oasis in the middle of a city of nearly 400,000 people. I think we saw a total of 6 other people in the time we were there–about one and three quarter hours. The weather was perfect. Then I decided to use the 2 gift cards for a local ice cream shop to get us ice cream after. It was a beautiful day.
Oh it sounds like a delightful day! So glad to hear you and your friend we able to enjoy that time together. 😊
On Monday night I was Googling the name of someone I had a couple of newsletter-type e-mails and though I have known for years someone by that name, I knew it wasn’t him. But I wanted to know who this guy was and how on earth he got my e-mail address. I never did find out who he was, but did stumble across the name of the man who, with his wife, was my friend. Problem was, it was his obituary, and he died in April of 2019 and I wasn’t aware of his death. So on Tuesday evening I called his wife who I haven’t seen for years and haven’t even talked to her in that time. She said it was such a blessing to hear from me and I was so happy that I followed through with what I’m sure was a nudge from the Lord. I am planning to visit her next week if the weather is good for driving, and I’m really looking forward to that. And yes, she blessed me as we chatted for about two and a half hours.
Very nice! Yes, it sounds like something the Lord would’ve brought about. I had a similar experience a couple months ago as well and was reunited with an old fried I hadn’t talked to in 20 years. It comforted her to hear from me as her husband of many years had just passed a month or so before and I didn’t know that.
