Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Matthew 6:26
(Seeing these birds in the parking lot at my local grocery was a great reminder that God will provide during these unstable times and like the birds I should not worry about what I will eat or drink.)
Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.
Revelation 5:8 and Revelation 8:3-4
(These scriptures came to my mind this morning and as I read them I felt led to write this poem and also to create the art. Perhaps the Spirit is telling us, saints, that our bowls will soon be tipped! )
It was explained as an experience to discover hidden things in your art that at first glance your eyes might not see but that through prayer God might want to reveal to you.
It sounded intriguing so I decided to try it.
Instructions are: with paper and pencil shut your eyes and make 33 dots on the paper. Open eyes and connect the dots in one continuous line without lifting the pencil from the paper.
Pray and ask God to show you what He might want you to see or what He wants to reveal to you.
It might take some time to see and know exactly what that might be, because for me, at first glance, I only saw Disney animals in my dot drawing—Goofy, Pluto and Dumbo, but then after a few days of prayer and pondering I saw the Hammer, and then the Bible verse in Jeremiah 23:29 came to mind.
The end result was an amazing work of art that I feel God wanted me to create!

As I continue to read the true story of Katie Davis Majors heart’s commitment to God and His will, I am amazed at what God has done through her for the people in Uganda.
I recommend reading her book “Kisses for Katie”. It’s a great testimony of what God can accomplish through one heart that’s totally surrendered to Him.
