The King of Glory

King of Hearts altered playing card
Original ATC by Leona J. Atkinson

When the King comes,

In His glory.

Will the earth rejoice?

Syllabic Verse

This morning as I was creating some Christmas Artist Trading Cards for an upcoming group swap I decided to use one of the playing cards I had on hand for a background. The card I happened to choose was the King of Hearts. Immediately the chorus from the hymn “The King of Glory” popped into my head. This had to be sent by God as I have not heard nor sung this song for years.

This Day

Last,

Final,

Day of October.

A special day?

What will you call it?

October thirty first?

Perhaps Reformation Day?

Or Halloween Trick and Treat Day?

Where will your focus be today?

“This is the day the Lord has made” Rejoice!

“Again I say Rejoice!” Give thanks!

The Lord gives another day of life!

Focus on making it special.

Look for new opportunites.

Enjoy every moment.

Think positive thoughts.

Live, Love, Laugh.

Help someone.

Share your

Smile. 😊

One Among Many

One Oak Leaf among many Maple leaves--Senryu Cascade poem
Original Poetry and Photograph by Leona J. Atkinson ©2015

As I was walking to my car I noticed the many leaves scattered all across the parking lot.  Their colors vividly showed against the black pavement. The leaves seemed to all be from the colorful Maple trees that were planted nearby—except—right by my car I noticed one lonely Oak leaf lying in among all the Maple leaves.  Thus, an inspiration for today’s poem.
