Did you ever stop to think
Your life is but a blink
Its here and then it’s gone
Like the morning dawn
So be it as it may
Treasure life today
Before it slips away

Sitting in my chair
Remembering times spent
With you over the years
The good times and sad times
I count as blessings
As each time was as glue
Molding us together
Creating special memories
For us to hold and treasure.

For those who are willing to seek
Treasure can daily be found
The Scriptures are an oyster
Holding pearls of wisdom
Pick up your bible
And open the pages
Within them
You’ll find
Pearls
Nonet

Covered in snow
The mountain
Majestic it stands

The New Year brings Life,
New Beginnings and Promises of Restoration and Redemption,
A Baptism in Hope, Wisdom, and Guidance for those willing to seek Him

A couple of days ago I was blessed to find a most unique dining room table at a local thrift store.
I was in need of a new dining table and had been searching for a long time for a small dark wood table.
I was about to give up hope as every table was either the wrong size or color, therefore I decided I would just buy a table cloth for my old light colored one and look for some dark colored chairs instead.
So on a recent visit to another thrift store I found some dark colored wood chairs that I figured would be ok. They weren’t the best but they were very low priced and sturdy. I figured I could clean them up a bit and they would do me just fine with the new tablecloth.
However, while walking toward the cashier to purchase them I happened to pass by a very unique small round dark colored wood table that I hadn’t previously seen. It had an inlaid wood top with an eight point star in the middle and scallops around the edges. The legs were decorative metal in a scroll type pattern. It was such a beautiful table! Just the right size and color and perfect for me! It was priced very low too! I had found my table at last, and even better it had meaning for me, because the eight point star has many meanings in history and culture, some I found were: Redemption, Regeneration, Baptism, Life, Hope, New Beginnings, Guidance and Wisdom.
It has also been called “The Star of Melchizedek” and is the traditional pattern for winter clothing in Norway and my dad was Norwegian.
I feel this table is a blessing and though it needs a bit of refinishing , it is definitely a rare find and treasure to me!

A precious gift
Used daily and often taken for granted
Until age begins taking it away
Then it is clung to And treasured
As blue turns gray
And our minds tell us what our eyes used to say
