Simplicity

Yellow Roses in bloom
My yellow rose in bloom

Neighbor’s helping hand

Good news in the mail

Peace where I stand

Counting my blessings

Makes me feel grand!

Rhyme

Just a simple little rhyme today as I sit counting my blessings.

Sometimes I just stand and look at my roses in bloom and give thanks for their beauty.

Sometimes I see my neighbor’s friendly faces or am the recipient of their helping hands and am so grateful.

Sometimes when I see news reports of all the chaos, sadness and destruction going on all around the world I give thanks it is not happening in my little corner of the world.

And as I count my blessings, I pray for those who can’t.

I hope you who are reading this today are blessed and enjoying many little things in your life that are bringing you joy and happiness even in the midst of this pandemic.

  1. It was a beautiful day here today. A friend had asked me a few days ago if we could meet in in a park somewhere to talk about some of her questions about repentance and other things. It was just perfect for sitting out and I really enjoyed it. We were there for about 3 hours by the river under the shade of a huge very old tree enjoying a beautiful breeze as we shared insights. And a short while before I left to meet her, by new coloring book arrived with a couple other books I have orders for. That was exciting, too. And I have already sold a few on Amazon.
