The Tree Of Life

Tree

Of Life

Nourishes

Branches extend

To reach the nations

With leaves of healing

Planted beside the River

Of Life in Heaven’s Paradise

Bearing twelve fruits for Overcomers

Who will dwell in the New Jerusalem

Providing supernatural provision

As they eat eternally from its abundant supply

Observe then, and believe this wonderful truth

The Tree of Life

Can be for you

Accept Christ and

Live eternally

A Rebellious House

Closed door, sorry we’re closed sign

Dwelling in the midst

Of closed eyes, ears, and minds

Rebellious house

Shuttered ears are deaf

To the truth knocking

Closed eyes can’t see the truth

Through shuttered windows

Mutinous minds existing

Behind hostility’s doors

Choka

Poem based on this scripture:

“Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 12:2

NaPoWriMo 2018 Day 20

A Remembrance

Cross

Today

Lying in my path

A reminder of You

Twig cross created by the wind’s breath

Speaks loudly

Cinquain

Yesterday as I went out to get my mail it was windy and raining so I was walking with my hood up and head down, when I noticed what looked like a tiny beautiful cross lying in a pool of water on the blacktop. It was fashioned of two light colored twigs that apparently were blown by the wind to end up in that position. The way the light hit it it almost appeared to look golden. It stopped me in my tracks that’s for sure! As I pulled out my phone to snap a picture I thanked God for sending me this reminder on the day before Palm Sunday!

They “Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.” John 12:13 KJV

What is “Palm Sunday”?

What is “Holy Week”?

POSSIBLE

possible
God is:

Promising a good future. It’s
Obtainable and
Securable, if you are
Susceptible and ready to be
Imaginable! Will it be a
Breeze? No, more
Likely it will take hard work. It won’t be
Easy, but it is possible to achieve.

ACROSTIC
Think positive!
With God all things are Possible!  (Matthew 19:26)

Again

Sad, Happy emoji

I worried

And wondered although

God said don’t

Syllable Lune

Sound familiar?

God says not to worry yet again I find myself doing so.

God says not to wonder about the future yet I often do that too.

Why do I do that?

He’s shown me time and time again that He’s trustworthy, that He’ll always be there for me, that He loves me and cares for me, and wants to heal me and give me an abundant blessed life, yet when a new problem arises I somehow find myself lapsing back into worry and wonder.

Ah, “the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak” said Jesus (Matthew 26:41)

Forgive me God.

I love You and I am so happy that you love me and are patient with me.

…“Lord, I believe; help thou my unbelief” Mark 9:24

Unclad

Unworn Armor

We smiled, chittering and chattering

As daylight filled with bright sunshine

Spilled upon us walking sprightly.

In the distance a lion roared

But the sound did not reach

Our quiescent ears

Dulled by sleep.

Our guard down,

The lion

Strikes!

Caught

Off guard

We scramble

To stand and fight

The enemy attack.

Unprepared for battle,

Head and heart vulnerable

To fleshly fear and worldly anger,

We attempt to vanquish our beastly foe

Unprotected. We cry out for God to help us!

Works Of Art

Horse Sculptures by Dixie Jewett of Dayton ,OR

At

First glance

I may seem

Ordinary

Yet if you will stop

To take a closer look

You may be quite surprised

You’ll see I that am a unique

Creation of God’s workmanship even though

At first glance I may seem ordinary.

Dectina Refrain

Just as these beautiful metal horse sculptures pictured above are unique creations of art, created by Dixie Jewett of Dayton,OR thru her love of horses and her skill in welding, so are we all works of art, created and designed by God.

Each of us are unique. Masterpieces of our Creator who formed us in love, to reflect and shine His workmanship to the world around us.

Ephesians 2:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)

For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].
