“Coming soon” the signs say
Bits of color speak loud and clear
As I walk the dreary way
Coming soon” the signs say
Birds sing of a brighter day
Spring color will soon be here
“Coming soon” the signs say
Bits of color speak loud and clear

The sun sleeps.
Rain drizzles upon
Decaying leaves.
Misty morn.
In the bleakness, a patch of red.
Camellia blooms.
Shadorma
My Camellia plant offers a bright spot of color on this dreary January day.

Dreaming
Of warm soft breezes
Where colorful flowers
Dance to the sound of birdsong
Springtime

Flowers erase frowns and
Lift spirits.
On days when the
World seems colorless and
Everything is dreary, flowers
Remind us to
Stop, smile, and seek beauty everywhere
Acrostic

I wrote a poem today inside my head,
It’s positivity chased dread.
It’s words uplifted and carried,
Those dreary thoughts that tarried,
And freed my mind to see,
The joy awaiting me,
In a new day,
Where I may,
Start new!

Reverse Etheree/Rhyme
Red is favored many a time ,
But how can I choose it over lime?
And orange, I really like a lot,
But purple’s great too, is it not?
Yellow is so bright and cheery,
Pink delights when I’m feeling dreary,
Blue calms me with it’s gentle hue,
Yet a light shade of green does that too!
The glitter of gold I love to see,
But the shine of silver is also special to me.
Black has it’s place, as does brown,
How can I possibly choose a color to crown?
Picking a favorite is to hard for me,
For I like them all, as you can see.
Therefore, the choice I’ll leave undone,
For there’s just too many colors to focus on one.
